A series of 9 mixed-media artworks named after the eight planets and the sun. The works are an investigation into a meeting of the living world and tempera. They enact my obsession with plant leather, the unknown (think cosmos, ocean's abyss, or human soul) and mixing pigments. It's all about my relationship and energetic exchange with each artwork that starts with me walking through a forest, encountering mushrooms that spark my curiousity, or growing healthy bacteria in my studio lab. :) Kombucha is like a plant, you talk to it, you feed it with love. That love is then transferred into my paintings, shaped with the brushstrokes of tempera colours that I mix myself, and sealed with water-resembling resin layer. The whole process is nothing but a ritual, a blessing that hopefully reawakens the comnnection with your soul encapsulated in your body for this lifetime.
